- Canada should immediately pull out of the Paris Agreement. There should be open, civil and respectful debate on climate and energy issues.
- The IPCC would be depoliticized and disbanded. It should be replaced by the form proposed by the Dutch government in 2013, where there would be regional reporting units with online real-time or near-real-time data. These groups would meet virtually from time to time putting an end to the boondoggle Conference of the Parties (COP) events. In general this group would consist of scientists and no longer include ENGOs and the other circus folk that attend COP events.
- Carbon markets would evaporate and cease to exist as would carbon pricing and carbon taxes. Wind and solar would become a nominal market for remote facilities. For remote off-grid locations, mechanical windmills like the old days on the farm may be more practical and less expensive for developing economies to implement.
- The denigration of conventional fuels and industry workers would stop.
- Society should focus on scientific discovery (i.e. we know very little about what is in/under our oceans, which are 71% of the earth’s surface). Much scientific research is required in many fields.
- Governments and groups like ENGOs would apply themselves to implementing practical and beneficial measures for people, within a framework of S.M.A.R.T. goals, as outlined on page 30 of our report Faulty Premises = Poor Public Policy on Climate.
- School indoctrination and fear mongering about an apocalyptic dystopian future due to "climate change" must stop entirely. Science and math would be principle matters to study.
- The UNPRI and the CDP Worldwide would be disbanded or brought under accountable control of national governments.
- Institutional investors would cease to be activists and go back to simply investing without attempting to manipulate markets.
- ENGOs would be required to meet accountable standards of fact and reporting similar to those required of conventional energy or critical infrastructure providers. They would no longer be able to act as proxies for vested interests behind their funders (i.e. through avenues like the Donor Advised Funds).
- ENGOs would be limited - if as Canadian charities – to operate on a less than $1 million budget per year and would not be allowed to ‘gang up’ with any other charity or NGO on any issue. They would have to address the local, tangible, measurable benefits required by the Income Tax act on charities (i.e. Halifax food bank, serving 2,000 Haligonians annually, with 15,000 food hampers – these numbers are simply used as examples).
- ENGOs would not be allowed to operate scare-mongering campaigns (i.e. plastic straws, etc) as a means of raising money.
- The tax pool would no longer be bled dry by these ENGOs and their "climate" causes.
- Friends of Science would work with qualified teachers & allies to develop helpful science-fact based school programs.
